Hannah is a textile designer, with a particular focus on a combination of both hand and machine embroidered textiles. Material exploration is an important part of her practice. As a result, every material is carefully considered using different weights and qualities with a variation of mediums to create a contrast. This hand-made quality, combined with the process of detailed embroidery techniques, draws inspiration from the landscape, environment and the members of the community.
Hannah graduated from the Royal College of Art in 2017. During her time in education she has been supported by the Edward Sharp award, The Eaton Fund and the Worshipful Company of Needlemakers.
Hannah is currently developing made-to-order accessories, bespoke commissions for private clients, and freelances for high-end fashion designers. She also creates embroidered textile swatches, selling directly to companies internationally. Hannah is based in Cockpit Arts Incubator in London, after winning the Radcliffe Craft Development Award 2018. During her time there she has designed a new line of embroidered luxury accessories and hopes to expand it in the near future. She is also a visiting Tutor at Loughborough University for First and Second year Students, studying the Textiles Course.
